Interview with Clément CLOAREC, student in the Industrial Logistics degree program

Introduce yourself and tell us about your career?

My name is Clément CLOAREC, I'm 21.

After secondary school, I followed a long path in the field of work-study training for the logistics profession. I started off with a C.A.P (vocational training certificate) called "Opérateur Logistique" (Logistics Operator ) at an MFR (vocational training center), working as a part-time apprentice for the SNCF in an Industrial Technicenter.

After that, I took the "BAC PRO Logistique" training course with the Promotrans group on a sandwich course. These 4 years of training were very useful in helping me discover the basics of this profession.

To continue my training and acquire new skills, I joined the "TSMEL (Technicien Supérieur en Méthodes et Exploitation Logistique)" vocational training course with the Promotrans group, changing company to SPL (Société Publique Locale) Eau du Bassin Rennais.

For this year, I decided to change training center by joining the Licence LFI (Logistique des Filières Industrielles) and to stay with the same company to complete my business project.

Where are you doing your work-study program? What are your assignments?

I'm on a work-study program with Société Publique Locale Eau du Bassin Rennais. My main task is the overall layout of our future logistics warehouse, which will be delivered to us in April 2024. At the same time, I'm working on several continuous improvement projects for our logistics department.

What was your initial motivation to join ESLI? What sets it apart from other schools?

Mainly its reputation and its relationships with partner companies, which are very interesting and subsequently offer job prospects. The advice and follow-up provided by our trainers , who are also highly competent in their field.

What skills are you acquiring at ESLI?

Autonomy, project management, as you work on several projects at once (company, G.E.N.I.A.L project and others...) and organization.

What are you most passionate about in your work and in life in general?

What I'm most passionate about at work is facilitating the processes and tasks of my work colleagues, as well as the desire to save time and/or money on the projects I devote my time to. Task completion and new challenges are what motivate me in life in general.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

For the next 2 years, I want to continue my training by joining the following course Master's degree in LSI (Secure and Intelligent Logistics) at ESLI, while changing companies, as I'd like to work for a company that produces luxury textiles if possible.

What advice would you give to future students on the campus?

As a student on the campus, I can only advise you to join the ESLI training center. The solidarity between students and the closeness of the instructors to the students are the keywords of the campus. On top of that, the town of Redon is very pleasant for students.

If you had to sum up your campus experience in three words, which would you choose?

Enriching / Agility / Solidarity
