On Thursday October 19, 2023, students and alumni gathered at Avril's premises for the first Afterwork organized by the Alumni Association.
Highlights of the evening
Founded in January 2023, the Alumni Association marks the start of a new chapter!
Comprising Xavier Roux (Chairman), Alexandre Dimofski (Vice-Chairman), Emile Ollivier (Treasurer), and Camille Ploteau (Communications Officer), the Association was set up to foster links between the school's alumni and strengthen the professional and personal network that has grown up over the years.
In addition to the office, three groups : Expertise, Talents, Employment have been working for several months to develop a strong, committed community.
During the Afterwork, students and alumni had the opportunity to discover the objectives of the Expertise group, presented by Sophie GEYNYS, as well as the achievements of the Employment group, led by Franck Daniel, which notably enabled the launch of the DATALUMNI platform on campus.
This new tool offers many advantages to alumni, students and teaching staff alike:
- A directory to discover the profiles of students, alumni and teaching staff;
- A chat to facilitate communication between the various members of the platform;
- A mentoring system that enables all members to sponsor a student to support him or her in various areas: induction, finding a work-study or work-study placement, enhancing skills, supporting the GENIAL project;
- A job board to post and consult work-study and employment offers;
- A blog to provide news from the campus schools.
The evening's participants also had the opportunity to discover Avril through a presentation on the company's expertise and values by Xavier Roux, Supply Chain Director.
The afterwork ended with a convivial networking session in the Avril atrium.
