ESLAP" and "IFALP" projects win France 2030 prize for training in the trades of the future

On January 4, 2023, the French government notified the ESLAP (Électronique Souveraine, Logistique, Achats, Production) program led by GIP CEI. The project was selected by the jury as part of wave 2 of the "Compétences et Métiers d'Avenir" program, part of the France 2030 plan, and is supported by the State to the tune of €3,277,550. The action plan consists of supporting the Electronics sector, which is expressing urgent recruitment needs against a backdrop of massive retirements and relocations. This context calls for the deployment of new training offers attractive to young people, and for the training of senior technicians and managers capable of designing, programming, producing, recycling and testing electronic boards and systems for strategic sectors such as automotive, aeronautics, transport, telecommunications, medical, defense and energy.

On June 13, 2023, the State also notified the "IFALP" (Institut Français des Achats et de la Logistique Publics) project, also supported by GIP CEI, as part of wave 3 of the CMA scheme. The action program will receive €5,659,966 in support of the "Attractiveness/Transversality" national acceleration strategy. It consists in developing training and research in Sovereign Public Purchasing and Carbon-free Logistics. It aims to support the strengthening of logistics and purchasing functions, particularly in the public sector (government departments, local authorities, hospitals), with an emphasis on skills, contributing to resilience and sustainable development. It therefore aims to secure and green supply and distribution chains, particularly in high-carbon-emitting sectors such as food, e-commerce and transport.

As President Sarkozy reminded us on May 11, if we are to reindustrialize and decarbonize our economy, we need new talent and a strong response in terms of skills adaptation: this is now a strategic challenge for our country's sovereignty and resilience. This is why the French government is funding strategic projects as part of the CMA plan for France 2030.

The "France 2030" plan is endowed with 54 billion euros deployed over 5 years, and is operated jointly by the Agence nationale de la recherche and the Banque des Territoires on behalf of the French government, within the framework of France 2030. It aims to develop industrial competitiveness and the technologies of the future, and pursues 10 objectives for better understanding, better living and better production by 2030.

Better production

  • Promote the emergence of a French offer of small modular reactors (SMR) by 2035, and support
    disruptive innovation in the sector;
  • Become the leader in green hydrogen and renewable energies by 2030;
  • Decarbonize our industry to meet our commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in this sector by 35% between 2015 and 2030;
  • Produce nearly 2 million electric and hybrid vehicles in France by 2030;
  • To produce the first low-carbon aircraft in France by 2030.

Better living

  • Invest in healthy, sustainable and traceable food, to accelerate the agricultural and food revolution in which France is a leader;
  • Produce at least 20 biomedicines in France, with a particular focus on cancer, chronic diseases and age-related illnesses, and create the medical devices of tomorrow;
  • Putting France at the forefront of cultural and creative content production;

Better understanding

  • Playing our full part in the space adventure;
  • Investing in the deep-sea field.

Six levers for success in France 2030
