Discover the GENIAL projects of our Mastère Smart Energy Logistics students

Discover the ingenuity of our students in their second and final year of the Mastère Smart Energy Logistics :

Project n°1 - Ekoti, the ecological house

How can we address the problem of student housing while respecting the environmental challenges that lie ahead?

The project is called EKOTI, Breton for "ecological house". The aim is to study the creation of sustainable, energy-independent housing, using reused containers to create a student residence.

To achieve this carbon-neutral project, we decided to combine renewable energy, recycling systems and other innovative solutions.

How can containers be designed to be both aesthetically pleasing and energy-efficient? What kind of insulation should be used? What innovative technical solutions are available today to solve our problems?

We're trying to answer these questions through our GENIAL project, and would like to draw up a detailed specification.

Project n°2 - Climate Frescoes

The project involves creating climate fresco workshops with volunteer students and teachers from GIP CEI - ESLI / ESTI, to educate them about the challenges and mechanics of climate change.

The aim is to enhance the knowledge of trainees so that they can better identify and implement solutions to reduce the impact of climate change on our economic organizations, our society and the environment.

Project 3 - Energy optimization at Yves Rocher sites

This project involves helping Yves Rocher's Croix des Archers site to implement the ISO50001 standard.

To this end, we are tasked with developing performance indicators (KPIs) and proposing innovative solutions for optimizing the site's energy consumption. An energy audit is also required to ensure the relevance of the proposed performance indicators (equipment power consumption, heat loss, process operation and consideration of future process adjustments).

Project n°4 - Demonstrating the benefits of BIM in the energy context

As part of this project, we studied the benefits of using BIM in four different contexts: the refurbishment of a workshop for the Yves Rocher group, the design of a house for a real estate agency, the creation of a new classroom at a university, and the modeling of a printable mock-up.

In each case, we examined the specific benefits that BIM can bring, such as reduced construction times and costs, early detection of conflicts between different trades, improved collaboration between different stakeholders, and the creation of more sustainable and energy-efficient buildings.

Project n°5 - Renewable energy production and quantification of GHG emissions from the Branféré park

The Branféré nature park is offering various projects to second-year Mastère SEL students. The first is to carry out a feasibility study for the installation of photovoltaic shading on the visitors' parking lot to produce renewable energy and increase the number of parking spaces with electric vehicle charging stations. The second is to create a tool to quantify greenhouse gas emissions from the park's inputs.

Project n°6 - Recovery of rainwater and purified water from Branféré park

The aim of the project is to recover rainwater from the park's many roofs for use in watering and cleaning vehicles and equipment. The second objective is to recover the site's purified water and store it as a reserve in case of drought, to refill the existing basins.

Project n°7 - Supervision and energy optimization of Branféré park facilities

Our challenge: In the current environmental context, the Branféré animal park wishes to review its energy expenditure, optimize the metering of its expenses and gain a precise vision of the consumption of each heat production unit.

Our various points on the subject:

- Introducing smart metering equipment

- Offer centralized meter management using various software packages

- Presentation of consumption profiles

- Suggest optimization of certain buildings (manor house), storage and transport methods
