Interview with Alexian BRECHAULT, Mastère 2 Intelligent Secure Logistics student

Alexian BRECHAULT is a Mastère 2 LSI - Logistique Sécurisée Intelligente student at ESLI and a work-study student at ELCOM. Find out more in 2 minutes.

What's your background?

Thanks to a student fair, I was able to discover the world of logistics. So, after obtaining my BAC ES in 2018, I validated in 2020, a DUT QLIO - Quality, Industrial Logistics and Organization, within L'IUT de Carquefou. The following year, I wanted to continue my studies to gain more knowledge and experience. So I decided to study for a Licence Professionnelle Métiers de l'Industrie : Gestion de la Production Industrielle - Parcours Logistique et Qualité (LOGIQUAL), on a sandwich course. In 2023, I will complete my studies with the LSI Master's degree at ESLI in Redon.

Why did you join the LSI Master's program?

My plan was to leave school with a BAC +5 and I wanted a course that could be completed on a sandwich course. As I'm interested in the professions of the future, innovation and new technologies, the Mastère 2 Logistique Sécurisée Intelligente enabled me to find these subjects within my field of activity, which is logistics and supply chain procurement.

What does your campus training involve?

The Mastère Logistique Sécurisée Intelligente (Intelligent Secure Logistics Master's program) is designed to train high-level, competent professionals in the fields of logistics and security, with a focus on the use of technology to improve logistics operations and enhance security. This includes subjects such as supply chain planning and inventory management.

The aim is therefore to train professionals capable of implementing AI solutions to improve the efficiency and safety of logistics operations in a variety of industries.

What do you think is the best thing about the course?

The big plus for me is the fact that the courses are run by lecturers from some of the biggest companies in the logistics sector. The sharing is very enriching, and we have in front of us high-level managers with real operational experience.

Where are you on work-study?

Since 2020, I've been working for TRANSEPT in Challans, Vendée, which in January 2023 became ELCOM. We are one of the leaders in the design of casings and aluminum profile structures for special machines and conveyors, as well as ergonomic workstations.

What are your missions?

I have various missions that break down into 3 parts:

  • Logistics: monitoring stock transfers between sites, setting up and monitoring inventory, operational support for ERP use, operational logistics support (stock management, production monitoring);
  • Purchasing and procurement: update of purchase price lists, purchase orders, analysis and monitoring of trends (LME court on aluminum purchasing);
  • Operational excellence: as part of the merger between Transept and ELCOM, I am Super Key User on the implementation of a new ERP that will be common to all companies.

I'm therefore required to process data through SQL Extractions, which enable me to carry out analyses, but also to help my colleagues.

What are your plans for the future?

After my Master's degree, I'd like to start working in the logistics and supply chain sector, with ever more rewarding challenges and experiences, in the quest for constant personal development, but also for the company I'll be working for.
